BLCKOUT Arts – Terms & Conditions

By booking or attending any BLCKOUT Arts class, workshop, or event, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions.
1. About Us
BLCKOUT Arts provides creative classes and experiences designed to encourage self-expression, confidence, and community through dance, movement, and performance arts.
2. Booking & Payment

All classes must be booked in advance through our designated booking system.

Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your place.
-
Spaces are limited and are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
-
Prices are subject to change at any time, but changes will not affect bookings already confirmed.
3. Class Schedule
-
Classes currently take place once per week.
-
BLCKOUT Arts reserves the right to amend class times, venues, instructors, or schedules where necessary.

Any changes will be communicated to participants as soon as reasonably possible.
Individual Class Tickets
4. Single Class Bookings
-
Single class tickets are valid only for the specific class and date booked.
-
Single class tickets are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
Cancellation by Participants
-
Cancellations made 24 hours or more before the class start time may be transferred to another available class at the discretion of BLCKOUT Arts.
-
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice, or failure to attend, will result in the ticket being forfeited.
10 Session Package
5. Package Terms
The 10 Session Package entitles the holder to attend ten (10) eligible BLCKOUT Arts classes.

The package is valid for 10 months from the date of purchase.
-
Sessions may be used at any eligible BLCKOUT Arts class unless otherwise stated.

The package is intended for use by one person only and cannot be shared or transferred.
Package Expiry
Any unused sessions remaining after the 10-month expiry date will automatically expire and cannot be refunded, extended, or exchanged.
No Refund Policy
All package purchases are final.
No refunds, credits, or exchanges will be provided for:

Change of mind
-
Change in personal circumstances
-
Illness or injury
-
Holidays or travel commitments
-
Partial use of the package
-
Failure to attend booked classes
Unused sessions have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money.
Missed Classes
Participants who fail to attend a booked class without notice may have that session deducted from their package balance.
6. Cancellations by BLCKOUT Arts
BLCKOUT Arts reserves the right to cancel a class due to circumstances including but not limited to:

Instructor illness

Low attendance
-
Venue issues
-
Events outside our reasonable control
If BLCKOUT Arts cancels a class, participants will be offered:

An alternative class date; or
-
A credit back to their class package or account.
Where no suitable alternative can be provided, a refund for that cancelled individual class may be issued.
7. Health & Medical Conditions
By participating in classes, you confirm that:

You are physically able to participate in dance and movement activities.
-
You understand that participation is at your own risk.
-
You will inform BLCKOUT Arts of any medical conditions, injuries, or concerns that may affect your participation.
If you are pregnant, have recently given birth, or have a medical condition that may affect your ability to exercise, you should seek medical advice before participating.
8. Liability
Participation in BLCKOUT Arts classes is entirely at your own risk.
BLCKOUT Arts accepts no responsibility for:

Personal injury unless caused by our negligence.

Loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings.
-
Any indirect or consequential loss arising from attendance at our classes.
9. Behaviour & Conduct
BLCKOUT Arts is committed to creating a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all participants.
We reserve the right to refuse entry or remove any participant whose behaviour is:

Abusive
-
Threatening
-
Discriminatory
-
Disruptive
-
Inappropriate towards staff or other participants
In such circumstances, no refund or credit will be given.
10. Photography & Social Media
Photographs and videos may occasionally be taken during classes for promotional purposes, including use on:

Social media
-
Our website
-
Marketing materials
If you do not wish to appear in photographs or videos, please notify a member of the BLCKOUT Arts team before the class begins.
11. Children & Young People
For any classes involving participants under 18 years of age:
-
A parent or guardian must complete the registration process.
-
Emergency contact details must be provided.
-
Additional safeguarding policies may apply.
12. Data Protection
BLCKOUT Arts will collect and store personal information only for purposes relating to class bookings, safety, and communication.
Your information will be handled in accordance with applicable UK data protection legislation and will not be shared with third parties without your consent unless required by law.
13. Changes to Terms & Conditions
BLCKOUT Arts reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. The latest version will be made available through our website and booking platform.
Acceptance
By purchasing a ticket, package, or attending a BLCKOUT Arts class, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
